Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking or ordering any services or products. You should understand that by ordering/booking our services/products, you are agreeing to be bound by our terms and conditions.

Booking and Confirmation

When booking a place at a Lindsey Pollard Dance class, camp or workshop, all participants must complete a booking form, providing contact details and any relevant medical information in full.
Places at Lindsey Pollard Dance classes, camps and workshops will be allocated on a first come, first served basis once a booking form and full payment have been received. Should an activity reach maximum capacity, participants may be placed on a waiting list and contacted if a place becomes available.
Places will be confirmed via email or telephone once the booking form and full payment have been received.
Lindsey Pollard Dance cannot guarantee a place for participants on a waiting list.

Cancellation and Refunds

Classes

If you wish to leave any Lindsey Pollard Dance class, you must email or write to Lindsey Pollard, stating your reason for leaving and when you plan to leave.
Refunds are at the discretion of Lindsey Pollard Dance and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please note that if you have attended three or more sessions and decide that you no longer wish to attend, a refund will not normally be issued.
Where a refund is agreed, this will only apply to the remaining classes in the term and not to classes already attended. Refunds will be calculated based on the number of classes remaining, less a £5 administration fee.
Classes missed due to illness, holidays or any other personal absence will not be refunded or carried over.
Should a class have to be cancelled by Lindsey Pollard Dance due to adverse weather or circumstances beyond our control, refunds will not normally be offered. Where possible, Lindsey Pollard Dance will endeavour to provide a replacement class.

Camps

Camp bookings are made for a specific date and place and are subject to availability.
If you need to cancel a camp booking, you must contact Lindsey Pollard Dance as soon as possible by email.
Any cancellation and refund for a camp booking will be considered entirely at the discretion of Lindsey Pollard Dance and on a case-by-case basis.
Where a refund is agreed, Lindsey Pollard Dance reserves the right to deduct an administration fee and/or the cost of any arts and crafts materials or other resources that have already been purchased or incurred for the participant. The usual deduction for these costs will be approximately £15, although this may vary depending on the circumstances and costs incurred.
No refund will be provided for a camp place that is missed due to illness, holidays or any other personal absence unless Lindsey Pollard Dance agrees otherwise at its discretion.
If Lindsey Pollard Dance has to cancel a camp due to circumstances beyond its control, including adverse weather, venue issues or other unforeseen circumstances, Lindsey Pollard Dance will endeavour to offer an alternative date or suitable arrangement where possible.

Workshops

Workshop bookings are subject to the same cancellation and refund terms as Lindsey Pollard Dance classes.
If you wish to cancel a workshop booking, you must email or write to Lindsey Pollard, stating your reason for cancellation.
Refunds are at the discretion of Lindsey Pollard Dance and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Where a refund is agreed, this will be calculated based on the circumstances and may be subject to a £5 administration fee.
Workshop places that are missed due to illness, holidays or any other personal absence will not normally be refunded.
Should a workshop have to be cancelled by Lindsey Pollard Dance due to adverse weather or circumstances beyond our control, refunds will not normally be offered. Where possible, Lindsey Pollard Dance will endeavour to provide an alternative arrangement or replacement workshop.

Pricing

Prices are liable to change at any time. This will not affect any services or products that have already been agreed and confirmed.
Payment for services/products is required in full by the stated payment deadline. For classes, failure to make payment by the required deadline may result in your place being cancelled.
Lindsey Pollard Dance currently accepts payment online or via cash.

Classes

1) You can expect from us:

Fun classes taught in a safe, secure environment and to a high standard.
To challenge and encourage you without pushing you beyond your individual limits.
The teacher to be on time.
The class to finish on time. Should a class have to start late due to external factors, we will try our best to run the class late where possible to allow the correct amount of time allocated for the session.
The teacher to be appropriately qualified, DBS checked, insured and first aid trained where applicable.

2) What we expect from you:

To arrive on time and be ready to start the class.
To wear suitable and appropriate clothing that allows you to move comfortably.
To bring water.
To have paid for the classes in full by the required payment deadline.
To advise the teacher of any injuries, illness or other relevant medical information prior to the start of the class if this has changed since completing the booking form.

Camps and Workshops

Participants attending Lindsey Pollard Dance camps and workshops are expected to:

Arrive and be collected at the times stated on the booking information.
Wear suitable, comfortable clothing and footwear appropriate for dance and other activities.
Bring any items specifically requested in the camp or workshop information, such as water, snacks, lunch, sun protection or appropriate outdoor clothing.
Follow the instructions of Lindsey Pollard Dance staff and any venue staff.
Behave respectfully towards other participants, staff, visitors and the venue.
Inform Lindsey Pollard Dance of any changes to medical, dietary or emergency contact information.
For children's camps, parents/carers must ensure that all required information is provided accurately on the booking form.

Lindsey Pollard Dance reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the timetable, activities, staffing or arrangements where necessary due to circumstances beyond our control.

Personal Property

We do not have the facilities to ensure the safe storage of customer valuables. It is therefore important that customers do not bring valuable belongings to classes, camps or workshops. Lindsey Pollard Dance will not accept liability for loss, damage or theft of personal property.
We will operate a lost property system but cannot guarantee the return of lost items. Lost property will be held for one month. Any property not collected within this period may be disposed of.

Health and Safety

Lindsey Pollard Dance will carry out appropriate risk assessments for venues and activities in which classes, camps and workshops take place. These are available on request where appropriate.
Participants must follow all reasonable health and safety instructions given by Lindsey Pollard Dance staff and venue staff.
Lindsey Pollard Dance will take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment for all participants. However, participants take part in physical activities and dance at their own risk. Parents/carers are responsible for ensuring that any relevant medical conditions, injuries or other circumstances that may affect participation are disclosed on the booking form.

Behaviour

We reserve the right to refuse or remove participants at any time, prior to or during classes, camps or workshops, should we feel that the participant is not compliant with the general enjoyment, safety or objectives of the service.
Examples include, but are not limited to, bullying, discriminatory behaviour, aggressive behaviour, persistent disruptive behaviour, threatening behaviour or behaviour that places themselves or others at risk.
Where a participant is removed due to inappropriate or unsafe behaviour, no refund will normally be provided for any remaining classes, camps or workshops. Any additional costs incurred as a direct result of the participant's behaviour may be passed on to the customer where appropriate.
For children attending camps or workshops, parents/carers may be contacted where behaviour is causing concern. Lindsey Pollard Dance reserves the right to require a parent/carer to collect a child if their behaviour cannot be managed safely within the session.

First Aid

When completing the booking form, all relevant medical conditions, allergies, medication and other information that may affect participation must be disclosed. Failure to provide relevant information may result in the participant being unable to take part in certain activities. No refund will be issued in these circumstances where the information was not disclosed at the time of booking.
In the event of an accident or injury, an appropriately trained first aider will administer first aid where required and an accident/incident form will be completed and a record kept in accordance with Lindsey Pollard Dance procedures.
The emergency services will be called where necessary. For children's activities, the emergency contact provided on the booking form will be contacted as soon as reasonably possible.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Any information regarding a participant given to Lindsey Pollard Dance, either verbally or in writing, will be treated confidentially and handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and Lindsey Pollard Dance's Privacy Policy and GDPR procedures.

Participants will have access to their own records where applicable but not to those of others.

Lindsey Pollard Dance will keep written information about participants securely and electronic records will be stored using appropriate password protection and security measures.

Information will only be shared with others where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including where:

The participant or parent/carer has given permission.
It is necessary for the provision of the service.
There is a legal requirement to do so.
It is necessary to protect the health, safety or welfare of a participant or another person.

Lindsey Pollard Dance will challenge discriminatory, racist or inappropriate remarks, attitudes and behaviour.

We aim to help participants feel positive about themselves and others by celebrating the differences that make us all unique.

Complaints Procedure

Lindsey Pollard Dance hopes that you are happy with the service provided and that the need for a formal complaint will never arise.

Should you have any concerns or issues, Lindsey Pollard Dance encourages you to discuss these directly with Lindsey Collyer in the first instance.
