Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking or ordering any services or products. You should understand that by ordering/booking our services/products you are agreeing to be bound by our terms and conditions.
Booking and Confirmation
1) When booking a space at one of the Lindsey Pollard Dance classes all participants must fill out a booking form, providing contact details and any medical information in full detail.
2) Places at Lindsey Pollard Dance classes will be allocated on a first come first served basis when a booking form and full payment has been received. Should the classes be at maximum capacity the participants’ name will be placed on the waiting list and will be contacted as soon as a place becomes available.
3) Places will be confirmed via email or telephone once the booking form and full payment has been received.
4) Lindsey Pollard Dance cannot guarantee any places for the participants on the waiting list.
Cancellation and Refunds
Classes
1) If you wish to leave any Lindsey Pollard Dance classes, you must email or write to Lindsey Pollard stating your reason for leaving and when you plan to leave.
2) Refunds are at the discretion of Lindsey Pollard Dance and are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please note that if you have attended 3 or more sessions and decide that you no longer wish to attend, a refund will not be issued.
3) Refunds (if accepted) will only be for the remaining classes in the term, not for classes already attended and will be issued once an email or letter of cancellation has been received. Refunds will then be calculated based on the number of classes remaining plus a £5 administration fee. Please note refunds will not be made for classes missed.
4) Classes missed due to illness or other absence will not be refunded or rolled over.
5) Should a class have to be cancelled due to adverse weather or circumstances beyond our control, refunds will not be offered but we will endeavour to put on a replacement class where possible.
Pricing
1) Prices are liable to change at any time, this will not affect any services/products that have already been agreed and confirmed.
2) Payment for services/ products is required in full at the start of the first class. Failure of payment by week two will result in your place in the class being cancelled.
3) Lindsey Pollard Dance currently accepts payment online or by cash.
Class
1) You can expect from us:
· Fun classes to be taught in a safe, secure environment and to the highest standard.
· To challenge and push your limits but not to push you beyond these.
· The teacher to be on time.
· The class to finish on time. (Should the class have to start late due to external factors we will try our best to run the class late in order to allow the correct time allocated for the class)
· The teacher to be qualified, DBS Checked, insured and first aid trained.
2) What we expect from you:
· To arrive on time ready to start the class.
· To wear suitable and appropriate clothing that you can move comfortably in.
· To bring water.
· To have paid for the classes in full before week 2.
· To advise the teacher of any injuries or illness you may have prior to the start of the class (if different to your booking form).
Personal Property
1) We do not have the facilities to ensure the safe storage of customer valuables, it is therefore important that customers do not bring valuable belongings to class. Lindsey Pollard Dance will not accept liability for any loss or damage or theft to customer personal property.
2) We will operate a lost property but cannot guarantee the return of lost items. Lost property will be held for 1 month, any property not collected by then will be disposed of.
Health and Safety
1) Lindsey Pollard Dance will carry out a full Risk Assessment Form for all venues in which classes take place. This is available on request should you wish to see it.
2) Lindsey Pollard Dance nor any personnel authorised by it, nor the facility at which the classes are being held, will be held responsible for any loss or injury suffered by, or to, the participant, however caused.
Behaviour
1) We reserve the right to refuse or remove participants at any time, prior to or during classes should we feel the participant is not compliant with the general enjoyment and objective of our service, for example: bullying, disruptive or aggressive behaviour. In the event of this no refund will be made for the remaining classes and any additional costs incurred will be passed on to the customer along with responsibility.
First Aid
1) When you complete your booking form any medical conditions must be disclosed. Failure to do this may result in the participant being unable to participate in all activities. In this event no part or full refunds will be made.
2) In the event of an accident, the first aider will administer first aid and an accident form will be completed and a record kept in the Accident book. The emergency services will be called if necessary – in the event of this the teacher will phone the emergency contact number provided on the booking form as soon as possible.
Confidentiality and Data Protection
Any information regarding a participant given to Lindsey Pollard Dance either verbally or in writing will be treated as confidential.
Participants will have access to their own records but not to others. In order to comply with the data protection act Lindsey Pollard Dance will keep written information about the participant in a secure personal record box and keep computer records in password-protected files.
Lindsey Pollard Dance will:
- Always treat information about participants’ relationship difficulties, financial and business matters, and health issues as confidential
- Only pass this information onto other professionals who ‘need to know.’
Information will only be passed on if:
- Participants have given permission.
Equal opportunities policy
Lindsey Pollard Dance will make sure that they actively promote equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practices for all participants. They will make sure that they treat all participants with equal concern and respect.
Procedure
Lindsey Pollard Dance will recognise and welcome all legislation and existing codes of practice produced by appropriate commissions, for example the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
They value and respect (and teach participants in their care to) the different racial origins, religions, cultures, and languages in a multi-ethnic society so that each participant is valued as an individual without racial or gender stereotyping. They will also not discriminate against participants on the grounds of disability, sexual orientation, age, class, family status, and HIV/Aids status.
Lindsey Pollard Dance will challenge racist and discriminatory remarks, attitudes, and behaviour from the participants.
They will always help participants to feel good about themselves and others by celebrating the differences which make us all unique.
Complaints procedure
Lindsey Pollard Dance hopes that you are happy with the service that they provide and the need for a formal complaint should never arise. Should you have any concerns or issues, Lindsey Pollard Dance hopes that you will feel able to discuss these with Lindsey Pollard directly.
